Our software includes advanced analysis of ADCP data

Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) are a standard tool in oceanography for measuring how fast water is moving throughout the water column, with application to all ocean industries and a large portion of ocean research.

Our software performs basic and advanced analysis of data from ADCPs, from initial QA/QC through to a) generating forecasts of future conditions with LunaTide b) turbulence analysis, AND c) extracting information on fish!

The ADCPfish module makes use of data that are typically discarded from ADCP measurements to a) detect fish, b) determine their abundance, c) position in the water column, and d) swim speeds. This provides significant value to Ocean industry and researchers through analysis of existing data sets, and use of ADCPs for concurrent measurement of physical and biological site conditions.
